Welcome to the National Association for Medicaid Program Integrity (NAMPI) Web site.

NAMPI was begun in 1985 by staff from the various states' Medicaid agencies. The purpose of NAMPI is to assist states in providing the greatest control of fraud or abuse for the national Medicaid program. Strong program integrity helps assure that Medicaid funds are channeled appropriately to those who need the services.

From those early days, NAMPI has grown to an organization of state and federal officials from the 50 states whose primary task is to investigate instances of fraud & abuse in the Medicaid Medical Assistance Program. NAMPI's membership currently consists of attorneys, nurses, contractors, investigators, managed cared staff, managers, pharmacists and others.

Our Web site includes a national directory providing information about NAMPI members and affiliates. We hope you will find our Web site a useful introduction to NAMPI. We are excited by the prospect of all that we are doing within the organization and look forward to the future of NAMPI.
